Personal Lines Account Executive

Primary Functions:

  1. Handle and process new and renewal personal lines business.
  2. Provide in-house customer service to clients as assigned and requested.

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Market new business, determine premiums, prepare and present proposals to clients and maintain underwriting and marketing information by the carrier as assigned.
  2. Check new and renewal policies for accuracy in rating, typing, coverages, signatures, and input these transactions to generate billing invoices. Ensure that these items are delivered and/or mailed to the client.
  3. Receive phone calls from clients and companies regarding insurance, or administrative problems, and comply with the request and/or refer to the manager only when necessary.
  4. Maintain a suspense system to follow up on outstanding orders, correspondence, reports, and follow up daily on overdue and suspense items.
  5. Be familiar with and follow agency E&O guidelines.
  6. Maintain electronic and/or paper files in an orderly, up-to-date manner.
  7. Perform special projects at management’s request.

Qualifications:

  1. Must be a self-starter, imaginative and creative with good communication skills both verbal and written. Should have a thorough understanding of personal lines underwriting and coverages.
  2. Minimum two years experience in similar position is desirable. Must be licensed per state requirements.
